Hello there all you lovely people! I apologise for the lack of posts over the last little while. I am now living and loving life in Swansea. I have been meeting new people most days and I honestly couldn't ask for lovelier hall friends.
Over the past few days we have been getting to know each other and I feel like I have settled into a new family with a fresh start.
I hope that if you have started university or a new school, job recently that you have an amazing time and that everything goes smoothly.

Quote of the Day
Hey there! Sorry for the no posts this weekend, I've just had a weekend of relaxing and being super lazy; it's on my head for not doing the blog when I had the time to do so.
I have so much time for this quote! I feel like this quite often recently, and thankfully I have had the major support from my loving boyfriend as well as my good friends around me.
Just remember, you don't have to be happy and strong all the time- sometimes it is healthy to breakdown and release all the feelings that have been building up inside of you... Having a support group (friends, family, partner) helps so much! Just give yourself that break in life of being there for everyone and have people be there for you- everyone needs it now and again.

Quote of the Day
I'm not entirely sure what this particular quote is saying, but it does speak to me for some odd reasoning. In my personal way I feel like it is speaking out volumes to me... Telling me not to feel that people do things because of how I am but because of themselves. Just be true to you and do what you feel is right for you rather than what others want you to do.
For a long time now I have been doing things because that's how people want me to be- but I've stopped myself for a moment of thought and actually, its not who I want to be. So, I am becoming my own person and I feel so much more healthy and happy in this skin. I would like to say it's the happiest I have been able to feel for a long time.
Slowly I am finding myself and seeing who I want to be and become rather than having others telling me that I should do this that and the other. By allowing myself to become that person, it is seeming to open more opportunities for me. I have some wonderful friends, family and boyfriend who I know will support me fully with this transition in life. By receiving their full support, it gives me more confidence to go on into things and not feel afraid or alone anymore.

Summer Travels
This post is all about where and what I've been up to over the summer!
Lido, Cheltenham
Went with Sam M, Emily and Sean early in the summer to catch some of the sun.
Medieval Festival, Tewkesbury
I went along to this event, which happens every year in Tewkesbury, with Matt and Sam M.
I had a fantastic time, even though there were many weapons about and had them on about buying them to clobber people. (Of course they were joking!)
History is something I was never interested in (I never understood it too well) but I did actually enjoy learning about the history behind the war and such things.
Croft Farm, Breedon

Croft Farm, Breedon
I went along with some Sam E and Emily, & had a fantastic time...
Hired out a dragon pedal boat, drank cider & just chilled out in the lake.
Cineworld, Cheltenham
We first went to Matt's parents house as it was his twin sisters birthdays (he's not a twin). It was a lovely time and I got to meet his older sister at long last. They are such a wonderful family.
I managed to collect enough of the sweet packs to get a couple of free tickets for the cinema.
So, Matt & I went to the cinema and saw Despicable Me 2. I loved it! I am such a big kid when it comes to films or toys, but hey, I couldn't care less. It was a great day out.
Worcester
I regularly visit the city of Worcester. I have just completed my college course there but I also used to live there many years ago. I have a number of family members that live there too.
I love going there to visit because it is such a lovely place. Its quite a historic looking city.
The Park
Yes, I know, not very exciting. But I was taking care of my two cousins for a wee while.
They are so well behaved and the youngest & I have bonded a fair amount. He loves to just muck about and is more than happy to hold my hand, be carried or sit on my knee now.
He's a super star, cheeky monkey and can cheer me up so easily!
Cribbs Causeway, The Mall
I went along with my mum to meet up with some family friends. Mum spent the day with my friend Jenny's mum drinking tea and having a good chin wag. While Jenny and I spent the day shopping around the place, looking at clothes, eating some food and I gained some very helpful advice for university. I really loved seeing her for a day again as it had been a long time since that had happened!
Alton Towers
This was a family day out. It was lovely to spend some time with them, even though they annoyed me fully at some points in the day!

I fully enjoyed this trip, I have a love of some thrills.
I need to recommend to you that you go on The Smiler. Amazing!
Ikea
Started out bad as there was no chips to go with my meatballs.
But, I now own four cutlery sets for university!
Swansea/Rest Bay/Bridgend
So I am moving away to Swansea to go to the Metropolitan University. We decided to visit so that I could see the city and get to know the area a little bit... I love it there! I honestly can't wait to go... Just a little while left, not too far. Then on our way home we stopped off at Rest Bay for a hour or so as it was lovely weather and we could have a nice walk on the beach & a paddle.
From there, there is a outlet centre at Bridgend. It wouldn't of been right not to stop off there for an Ed's Diner for tea! Best food ever.
I will update this particular post every so often as there may be some more travels to be made.. Summer is over in a month or so for me!

Quote of the Day
Just remember, those who truly care always have your back. Even if it's learning the hard way, you always will learn who is really there no matter what!

Truly British Summer...
This week I've done one on things that you would expect during the winter, rather than the summer. But the weather has been so awful that it needs to be done! Here are some things to help you through the cold weather this holiday...
#1-Duvets
It's been getting colder again, turning into a true British summer. I love snuggling up into a duvet and having cuddles... It's lovely and very therapeutic.

#2- Hot Chocolate
I am aware that it's summer but it's become cold once again! A perfect warm up I think is a tasty hot chocolate.

#3- Box sets
I don't know about you, but when the weather turns cold and horrible, I love to curl up in bed or on the sofa with a blanket and just watch tonnes of films or TV box sets. I love being able to do this as there isn't really anything else to do during the horrid rain. My particular favourites for this weather is Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. (Yes, slightly nerdy but I don't mind!)
#4- Comfort food
A complete must! I love being able to just pig out in front of the TV. It makes it so much more fun just chilling out with some of my favourite foods. At the moment this is Welsh cakes and rice crispy cakes for me.
#5- Board Games
This is always just some fun in the living room with family, friends or other halves. Being able to chill out and have a little friendly competition takes away the rubbishness of the weather. Monopoly or Cluedo are some brilliant ones for hours of fun!
#6- Lazy Look
I love being able to look like a slob around the house in this weather.. Completely acceptable. Being able to have a messy bun, no makeup, large jumpers, joggers and thick socks/slippers on is just a dream. Getting away with this always keeps me happy!
#7- A Good Read
Sitting around looking like a slob and being comfortable while curling up with a good book is amazing. I love reading a classic while listening to the rain pour out on the conservatory outside my window. Bliss.
#8- Friends, Family, Other Halves
Having people round or visiting others in this weather is fun. Not bothering what you look like is a big contributor in this as you can be as lazy as you want together. Sitting watching films, having a laugh or playing games. I sound like I'm really quite old but I promise you I am 19!
#9- Den Making
Right, I sound like I'm 5 again here. But making dens is actually really a great thing to do. It helps you to forget that the weather is awful and you then have your own wee space. It's great to do this to escape the family if your stuck at home.
#10- Organising Things
Currently, I am preparing myself for moving to Swansea for university. Being able to organise everything and sort out my room in this weather is beyond perfect. I mean, who wants to do that in hot weather? I know I don't!

University Next Month: What I'm Going to Gain, What I'm Going to Miss
I'm going to miss a fair few things when I move away but then there are some things which I cannot wait to gain with the move!
#1- Freedom to Gain
At long last I'm going to be able to lead my life as I wish.
This is instead of having to coordinate it with my family and their plans.
#2- I'm Going to Miss...
This Crazy One, Matthew <3
Thankfully I will see him a fair amount still, visiting home & having visits myself.
He's my rock, my support and everything to me.. I love him tonnes :)
#3- New People to Meet
I cannot wait to meet loads of new people when I get there.
There's people I'll be living with and then those on my course... Bring it on!
#4- I'm Going to Miss...
Having a Living Room/TV
However, being able to use online catch up sites means that I may find new shows if I have the time.
#5- Going to a Fresh Start
I love the fact that I can leave where I live at the moment to go and start a new.
Prepare for my future!
#6- I'm Going to Miss...
Family
As much as they send me up the wall, I will miss them when I'm gone.
#7- Moving to a New City
It's going to be a big step, but it's the first required to reach my career goal.
#8- I Will Actually Miss Tewkesbury
Even though there's not an awful lot to do in Tewkesbury, it is a pretty place to be near.
#9- More Me Time to Be Had
Having some more time out to myself without being bothered by family will be a positive.
I shall be able to do things without being shouted at to do this that and the other.
#10- I'm Going to Miss...
My Friends.
I am especially going to miss my best friend as he's moving to Manchester for university.
It makes me sad thinking that I'm only ever (hopefully not the case!) going to see him during the holidays back at home.
Toodles for now,
Nicole xox
