Apologising to You Wonderful Folk

Hello there all you lovely people! I apologise for the lack of posts over the last little while. I am now living and loving life in Swansea. I have been meeting new people most days and I honestly couldn't ask for lovelier hall friends.

Over the past few days we have been getting to know each other and I feel like I have settled into a new family with a fresh start.

I hope that if you have started university or a new school, job recently that you have an amazing time and that everything goes smoothly.

I have decided to focus this weeks outfit inspiration on Charlotte. She is known for her reality stardom and I always enjoy watching her, she always gives me a good giggle! She has done many series of Geordie Shore and is currently in the Celebrity Big Brother house. Personally, I would love it if she won as it really would get her more out there. Hey there! Sorry for the no posts this weekend, I've just had a weekend of relaxing and being super lazy; it's on my head for not doing the blog when I had the time to do so.

I have so much time for this quote! I feel like this quite often recently, and thankfully I have had the major support from my loving boyfriend as well as my good friends around me.

Just remember, you don't have to be happy and strong all the time- sometimes it is healthy to breakdown and release all the feelings that have been building up inside of you... Having a support group (friends, family, partner) helps so much! Just give yourself that break in life of being there for everyone and have people be there for you- everyone needs it now and again.

I'm not entirely sure what this particular quote is saying, but it does speak to me for some odd reasoning. In my personal way I feel like it is speaking out volumes to me... Telling me not to feel that people do things because of how I am but because of themselves. Just be true to you and do what you feel is right for you rather than what others want you to do.

 

For a long time now I have been doing things because that's how people want me to be- but I've stopped myself for a moment of thought and actually, its not who I want to be. So, I am becoming my own person and I feel so much more healthy and happy in this skin. I would like to say it's the happiest I have been able to feel for a long time.

 

Slowly I am finding myself and seeing who I want to be and become rather than having others telling me that I should do this that and the other. By allowing myself to become that person, it is seeming to open more opportunities for me. I have some wonderful friends, family and boyfriend who I know will support me fully with this transition in life. By receiving their full support, it gives me more confidence to go on into things and not feel afraid or alone anymore.

Some of you may feel that it's sad that I watch it... However, I find it quite funny to see how they interact with each other. I have to say I despise Louie though!

I love denim jackets. They look super cute especially over a summery dress!

#6- Those crazy people that are in my life

Those that know me know that I can be a calm and sensible person but quite often am one crazy lady, and they are crazy people too as I wouldn't be able to cope with those who are always sensible!

 

 

 

 

#7- Handwritten letters from your loved ones

Everything these days is done on the internet or electronically, I think that handwriting is pretty much dead these days. I would love to receive handwritten letters when I move university.

Every hair style these days usually involves being dead straight, but I love the wavy look!

 

 

 

 

 

#9- My sister

I may deny that this was me that wrote this particular bit, but I honestly will miss her when I leave for university on her birthday. She can be a complete pain in my back side, but I'd be lost without a sibling.

Feedback

It was really lovely to receive my first feedback on facebook from my friend Becky earlier on this afternoon. Becky said to me: "I actually really enjoy your blog- frequently updated and lovely to read :) keep it up! :)"

 I cannot express how wonderful it was to read this as I have no idea what people think of this blog. It was fantastic to see what at least one person thought. As I received this feedback I asked if there was anything that she would like to see appear in future posts and Becky said that she would like to see things that are in the entertainment news.

Now, this will be something that I may end up struggling with to write, but when I do attempt it please do bare with me & give it some time as I have always found writing things like that really difficult.

Money Saving Ideas

A while back I had an idea of transforming a simple shopper bag that I received from a university open day into a personalised bag to use either as a handbag or just for days out places.

So with the help of items that are too small and just odds & bobs around the place, I have finally managed to do this. Mum and her sewing box also helped out with this! I have managed to stitch items onto the said bag quite successfully if I do say so myself. The reason I say this is because I suck at stitching and it involved many stitches.

I'm in the middle of sorting through my room for university and came across an old top of mine. Now, I'm a large lady so most tops these days hug me quite tightly.. I thought well here's a thought so I've ripped off the bottom part of it so that I can wear it with high waist items like skirts and jeans.

Summer Travels

This post is all about where and what I've been up to over the summer!

Lido, Cheltenham

Went with Sam M, Emily and Sean early in the summer to catch some of the sun.

Medieval Festival, Tewkesbury
I went along to this event, which happens every year in Tewkesbury, with Matt and Sam M.
I had a fantastic time, even though there were many weapons about and had them on about buying them to clobber people. (Of course they were joking!)
History is something I was never interested in (I never understood it too well) but I did actually enjoy learning about the history behind the war and such things.

Croft Farm, Breedon

I went along with some Sam E and Emily, & had a fantastic time...

Hired out a dragon pedal boat, drank cider & just chilled out in the lake.

Cineworld, Cheltenham

We first went to Matt's parents house as it was his twin sisters birthdays (he's not a twin). It was a lovely time and I got to meet his older sister at long last. They are such a wonderful family.

I managed to collect enough of the sweet packs to get a couple of free tickets for the cinema.

So, Matt & I went to the cinema and saw Despicable Me 2. I loved it! I am such a big kid when it comes to films or toys, but hey, I couldn't care less. It was a great day out.

Worcester

I regularly visit the city of Worcester. I have just completed my college course there but I also used to live there many years ago. I have a number of family members that live there too.

I love going there to visit because it is such a lovely place. Its quite a historic looking city.

The Park

Yes, I know, not very exciting. But I was taking care of my two cousins for a wee while.

They are so well behaved and the youngest & I have bonded a fair amount. He loves to just muck about and is more than happy to hold my hand, be carried or sit on my knee now. 

He's a super star, cheeky monkey and can cheer me up so easily!

 Cribbs Causeway, The Mall

I went along with my mum to meet up with some family friends. Mum spent the day with my friend Jenny's mum drinking tea and having a good chin wag. While Jenny and I spent the day shopping around the place, looking at clothes, eating some food and I gained some very helpful advice for university. I really loved seeing her for a day again as it had been a long time since that had happened!

Alton Towers
This was a family day out. It was lovely to spend some time with them, even though they annoyed me fully at some points in the day!

I fully enjoyed this trip, I have a love of some thrills.

I need to recommend to you that you go on The Smiler. Amazing!

Ikea

Started out bad as there was no chips to go with my meatballs. 

But, I now own four cutlery sets for university! 

Swansea/Rest Bay/Bridgend
So I am moving away to Swansea to go to the Metropolitan University. We decided to visit so that I could see the city and get to know the area a little bit... I love it there! I honestly can't wait to go... Just a little while left, not too far. Then on our way home we stopped off at Rest Bay for a hour or so as it was lovely weather and we could have a nice walk on the beach & a paddle.
From there, there is a outlet centre at Bridgend. It wouldn't of been right not to stop off there for an Ed's Diner for tea! Best food ever.

 I will update this particular post every so often as there may be some more travels to be made.. Summer is over in a month or so for me!
